Navigation from screen to screen in the Portfolio Planner is provided in multiple formats:
The headings in the Portfolio Planner Summary provide the navigation to return to the sections of the tool that have already been completed:
Note: The headings become underlined when a screen has been completed and the "Next" button has been used to move forward. The underlining indicates that they can now be used to return to a completed screen. They cannot be used to move forward in the Portfolio Planner to an uncompleted screen.
The sections in the page content area may consist of one or more screens that can be accessed in sequence using a set of navigation buttons located at the bottom of the page. These buttons are used to move you through the screens from one section to another.
In most cases the buttons consist of
and
.
Note: The navigation buttons should always be used when a plan is being created. Not only does this allow you to move through in logical sequence, it also allows the program to capture the information and warn you about incorrect or missing information.
Navigation may also be provided in the Page Content area by hyperlinks using the text on the screen. This text is underlined to indicate that it is a link.
The " Quadrant Allocation" screen of a custom portfolio allows you to use tabs to toggle back and forth between "$ View" and "% View".
